Reminder-
As a result of the Lady Chiefs Final Four appearance and staffing issues, school will NOT be in session this Friday, 11/8, and will be made up on 2/17 (President's Day). Best of luck to our kids this weekend as they represent Santa Fe in Final Four volleyball and the 2nd round of districts in football!!!
If you ordered a STATE t-shirt, they will be available in the high school office for pick up until 3:30pm today, you will need to enter through the cafeteria doors due to construction.
We will not be in the office tomorrow for pick up.
We also have a few extra STATE t-shirts for purchase ($15). We have 3 youth larges, 2 adult smalls, and 2 adult larges. If you would like to purchase any of the extras, contact the office.
Pictured is Jonathan Buford shooting at the November Area VI FFA Trapshoot in Sedalia on November 2nd at the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club. Approximately 100 high school FFA trapshooters were in attendance for this event. Wyatt Aversman and Sierra Hartman were other Santa Fe FFA Trapshoot members that competed this day also. FFA members shoot 100 rounds to get an individual score and then an overall team score that is calculated for their overall score for the day.
Canopy construction at the high school will begin today. If you need to access the main office. Please call ahead of time, and we will let you in the cafeteria doors. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The front entrance at the elementary school will be open beginning tomorrow morning.
If you ordered a State Volleyball Shirt, they are in and can be picked up at the high school office. Please have all shirts picked up by 3:30pm tomorrow. Please have exact cash or check when you pick up your shirts. Thank you!

Santa Fe FFA members are able to apply each year as seniors for the Houston Mull Scholarship for financial assistance for college. Santa Fe FFA members helped with parking cars, and setting up for the meal, serving and cleaning up from the steak dinner at the Mull Farm on November 2nd. This scholarship has blessed seniors that are FFA members from Saline County schools in excess of $300,000 in the last 20 years as a memorial and recognition to the FFA member that Houston was.
The Santa Fe Music Department is raising funds to purchase more instruments and new choir risers. Stay warm and cozy while supporting the Santa Fe Music Department with our sweatshirt blankets, perfect for chilly weather or as a thoughtful gift. The sweatshirt blanket is made of fleece sweatshirt material, and is 50” by 60”. The blanket is a gray blanket with a Chief's arrow in the bottom left corner. Price: $35. Orders due: Money is due at the time of order. All orders will be turned in by November 11th. You can purchase through a Santa Fe HS Choir or Band Student or call the office. Payment: Please pay cash or check. Checks are payable to Santa Fe High School Pickup: Orders will be in by the end of first week of December-just in time for Christmas. We will send them home with the person you ordered them with, or you can contact me to pick it up at the High School. These blankets will make great Christmas gifts, so don’t miss out! On November 4th, the Santa Fe R-X School District welcomed over 400 educators from the I-70 Conference Schools for a day dedicated to collaboration and growth. The event kicked off with an inspiring keynote by Kevin Daniels, setting an energizing tone for the day. Following the keynote, teachers connected with peers teaching similar subjects, exchanging ideas and strategies. The day concluded with teacher-led breakout sessions, providing practical, peer-driven learning. It was a vibrant day of professional development, fostering connection and advancement in teaching.

Pictured are 8th Grade Exploratory Agriculture students with the Homemade Ice Cream that they made. Thy learned about the different types of processing and preservation techniques. Students enjoyed the ice cream after their hard work of shaking a cold bag with rock salt and ice to get their final product!
Come help us cheer on the Lady Chiefs at our send off on November 7th @ 8:20am. We will gather as they load the bus for STATE!
