Congratulations to the following FFA members. These students would typically be recognized at the annual FFA Banquet, but due to the COVID-19 it was cancelled.
Scholarship Medal
One of the strategies for achieving the FFA mission is to encourage excellence in scholarship. In order for students to be successful in life and a career students must continually strive to improve their intellectual ability. In order to earn a scholarship award, a student must have an A or A- all four quarters of the school year in their respective Agricultural Class.

Fruit Sales Awards
This year the chapter’s fruit sale goal was to sell $20,000 dollars’ worth of fruit and meat during the annual fruit sale fundraiser. This is the chapters’ largest fundraiser and a way for the chapter to raise money to defray costs during the year for members to attend conferences, leadership activities and hold many chapter activities with little to no cost to the members. This year we will recognize the top three fruit sellers for their hard work and dedication to the chapter. Each chapter member is asked to sell $350 worth of product; these three members have met and exceeded that task. 1st place will receive $75, second place will receive $50, and third place will receive $25. This is based on the total value sold. This year our third place winner, selling $647.50 was Kennedy Dankenbring. The second place winner, selling $1102.50 was Katelynn Schreiman, and our 1st place fruit sale winner, selling $1463 was Sophia Bolser. Congratulations to these individuals for their hard work!
Santa Fe Agri-Leaders Charter Member Scholarship
The Santa Fe Agri-Leaders Outstanding Senior FFA Leadership Award is given to a senior who is outstanding in scholarship, leadership and SAE. This award focuses attention on agriculture careers and dedication to the Agriculture Industry. The candidates are evaluated using a scorecard that has scholarship, leadership and SAE points. A student that is receiving a Santa Fe Agri-Leaders Scholarship is eligible for this award, but will not receive the cash award as they are already receiving the scholarship cash award. Along with the award, the Santa Fe Agri-Leaders will be awarding the recipient $500.00 to be used toward furthering their education. The recipient of this award has dedicated the past four years to the FFA Chapter and the Agriculture Industry through her FFA Involvement and SAE Program. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty for her FFA Chapter and Officer Team the last four years, with this year being like any other year. She is always present at activities and willing to help wherever needed, always thinking of new ideas for chapter activities, ways to get members involved, and how she can help showcase her chapter to the community. She is the current Chapter President, the current Area VI Secretary, a State FFA Degree Recipient, and an Area Proficiency Winner in Agricultural Education. It is with great pleasure that I announce the winner of the 2020 Santa Fe Agri-Leaders Outstanding Senior FFA Leadership Award. This year the award goes to Kennedy Dankenbring.

Chapter Trapshooting
This year our chapter was a part of the Area VI Trapshoot League. The team attended all of the Area VI Shoots; which were held at the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club once a month in October, November, and December. Because of the COVID19, District and State Trapshoot events were cancelled. Since we have a great facility for shooting trap, we were able to practice on Sunday afternoons at our trap range. This helped team members excel in trapshooting and also helped younger members “learn the ropes” from the older members.
