Arrive Alive Tour
SF students in grades 9-12 had the opportunity to participate in the Arrive Alive program. This program included a simulator to teach students the hazards of distracted and impaired driving. Two highly trained facilitators, Mr. Bean and Mr. Hill, along with SRO Officer Beckfield spoke with our students about hazards of driving while distracted or impaired. Each student got to experience the simulator with the virtual reality headset, which made it feel like a real life experience. They stressed the importance of being S.A.F.E (Sober and Free of Electronics). Most students, as well as, our faculty that participated, did not pass the driving skills test and were issued a mock citation detailing the ramifications of their simulation.
Thank you again to SRO Officer Beckfield for bringing this wonderful program to Santa Fe.
